Hot dogs can often be thought of as basic and boring. This recipe will help you elevate your hot dog game, turning them into the star of any BBQ. This is the new school take on the old school Jersey/Italian hot dog.
Ingredients:
4 Natural Casing Hot Dogs
4 Long Sub Rolls
1 Seedless Cucumber
2 Large Russet Potatoes
Hoboken Heat Onions - Julienned
Canola Oil
Sour Cream
Hoboken Heat
Steps:
Peel potatoes and shred with a large grater
Soak potatoes in cold water than rinse and dry (this will help rinse the starch off ensuring they will crisp)
Fry potatoes in 375°F oil until golden brown
Cut the cucumber into thin strips
Dry than fry the hot dogs until crisp
Drizzle Sour Cream & Hoboken Heat on the roll, Place hot dog in the roll, top with onions, cucumber and fried potatoes. Finish with a drizzle of sour cream and Hoboken Heat
